Aliennaire

What is Aliennaire and what have I written it for

Aliennaire = Alien + Questionnaire. I have chosen this formulaic blending/portmanteau of two words in a hope it would communicate the concept of my story which is to answer some fundamental questions about Alien Universe.

I belong to that unorthodox league of Alien series' fans who tend to canonise only first two feature films in the series, i.e. Alien, 1979 and Aliens, 1986, and who have been somewhat dismayed and bewildered by the third instalment. Nevertheless, I deeply respect Alien^3 fans penchant for the third film, different strokes for different folks, you know. And yet, while the expansion of hypothetical macrocosm and progression of a character are likely a propitious token for a successful sequel, Alien^3 looks to me like a digressing time-out or a lengthy build-up to an adventure that never happens, unfortunately.

Still, I was always curious (and who was not?) as to what are those inscrutable, staggering creatures called Aliens? How do they relate to Space Jockeys (the race which fossilised emissary was found at the derelict spacecraft on Acheron)? Why didn't the company take another attempt to collect “magnificent specimen” in the meantime of Nostromo's departure and Sulaco's arrival to the orbit of ill-famed planetoid? And, lastly, what did compel Ripley to leave her biological daughter for a long period of time to journey aboard the merchant starship (which went on significantly much longer, than it was supposed to)?
These and other conundrums are more or less touched upon within my story in a kind of hints that are intertwined among dialogues and account of events. Aliennaire is composed more like a story treatment, than a novel, so you will not find any personal ruminations, neither mine nor characters', you are free to constitute you own conclusions over the story. Although writing is finished by now, it still requires conversion into the language which it pertains to. I'm going to re-upload the story here and on AO3 gradually until it's finished.

Of course, all respective images, figures and protagonists are the matter of copyright for the corresponding owners. I hope you will like it!
